Eighth

Well this week has been a busy one.
At the beginning of this week we discovered that theyre renovating Joshua's barracks so we have to get all moved by the 18th.Theyre moving us into a tiny room all the way across post.eek-I'm nervous to see how we do in a room that's small and unisex bathrooms!
After i booked my plane ticket last week, they decided to send Joshua to the field for the last week of my stay, from 25th-Feb 6.I changed my flight to come home on the 27th,its a Wednesday.Itll be the same way that I came out here-Busan to Tokyo to Minnesota to Austin.
Can't wait to get home even though I'll be devastated to leave Joshua :(

Seventh

First things first,we had a snow day :):) well more like a snow week.it snowed on Tuesday and its been so cold that its just stayed here since then!Friday afternoon and we've still got lots of snow and ice!We only got a few inches, but I was so excited :) I was like a kid in a candy store.lots and lots of pictures haha. One thing I did learn was that snow is definitely cold.definitely not weather for a Texas girl ;)^thats just as the snow started to come down
^During the snowing^Later that evening.Snow was covering everything!

Next, we got permission from the Commander over the whole 2-1 ADA Unit for me to live in Joshuas barracks room. Its quite a big deal since we didnt think he would agree to let me do it. Usually they only let spouses stay in the barracks because of course theres always the chance that itll be some random girl that a guy just started dating and the girl claims she got hurt by him,etc then it would fall back on the commanders shoulders because he let her stay in there. When they gave us the permission, they also gave us a lovely little speech about how we're not supposed to "mess this up" or anything. So that is a little bit of good news for us :)
Of course,I must mention that Univ of Alabama won the National Championship for College Football. It was a great showdown and I'm so glad the boys pulled through. The Bear must have been looking down on us ;)Roll Tide.
But enough about that.

I also finally booked my plane ticket home. Because of the time difference,I will be leaving Korea on the afternoon of the 31st of January and getting to Austin at 315pm January 31st.Just incase yall wanna give me a suprise party, ill be getting it at about 315 ;)
just kiddingggg.
if you havent seen them already, you need to check them out.Sarah (my sister) took my nieces to meet Sarah Palin while she was at Ft Hood doing a book signing. When they got up to meet Mrs Palin, she asked Emily if she could write that it was "to emily" in the book.Emily said "no thank you,i can write my own name" and proceeded to take the pen from Sarah Palin's hands and write her name in the book next to Sarah Palins signature.Emily is a hoot.heres the link
Its about 9 pictures.more than most people got.Em is a celeb! ;)
okay....off for now!
I love you guys and can't wait to see you soon!
Until Next Time,

Sixth...Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!Hope yours was lovely.About 15 minutes until 12 on New Years Eve night,Joshua and I discussed that it was so weird to be sitting here this year. On new years of 2009,I never thought that for 2010, I'd be sitting in South Korea at a random hole-in-the-wall bar watching Rolling Stone music videos with a ring on my finger and planning a wedding. Joshua and I had an "i love you" conversation when we first started dating. He told me that he knew that there was no way he could ever say "i love you" to a girl within the first 6 months of dating....a few months later,he said it to me!How odd life is.We never know where we will end up or where Christ will lead us in the years to come.I never thought I'd be engaged to a soldier and living temporarily on the other side of the world...it still blows my mind.
Well, without further ado,to ring in the New Year,we first went bowling with Josh's closest friend over here, Dustin. After we got done with that at 11,we went to one of the little bars around post called Rolling Stone. Its a very American-ized bar, which is nice. They had balloons covering the ceiling

And when the clock stuck 12, the Korean owner brought out sparklers and Roman Candles for everyone to do.

The owner also handed out little blowers

The evening of Jan 1st,we went to Daegu with The Watsons and about 6 other people. We went out to eat at a Canadian Owned restraunt and then went to the upstairs bar so that the boys could play Foosball
They were so intense!lol The owner and his friends are all Canadian so they also had the America vs Canada hockey game on. We watched the end of it with them and Canada ended up winning in double overtime by one point!!it was so intense. It was the first time most of us had even relaly watched a hockey game, too. It was fun. After that, me and joshua went and perused a few stores and stopped at a Korean McDonalds.Their menu has some American Mcdonald "classics" but it has some of the weird stuff too.like the 3rd burger from the left is Bulgogi burgers and the next one is a little cheeseburger.its tiny!how is anyone supposed to eat that?!ah!

After that,we went back to the train station. I took a picture of the train station so that everyone can see what it looks like :) Can you see the Dunkin Donuts on the right hand side?these people LOVE dunkin donuts!

Okay, well thats all the entertainment that I have to share for now!I hope everyones holidays were great!I miss and love you all!I will be home sometime near January 31st.

Until Next Time,

Hannah
